About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was on the waiting list for 7 years.  His behaviour was gradually getting worse the older he is getting.  He has still not been fully dealt with since June after a fight and making a complaint he was taken under the support, however he has been seen once.  The staff regularly just pick the phone up and then disconnect you.

My son is so far behind on his learning and this in turn makes him anxious and not want to attend school.

They regularly say to contact social work as they can help more.  It is ridiculous that people cannot get help when they require.  My son has been seriously injured due to his mental health.

Dear Nonmb39

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. I am sorry to read about the lack of support you and your son have received. As Care Opinion is anonymous, it would be helpful if you could provide me with some personal details. Would you be able to contact me on 0141 207 7100 with your son's name and date of birth so that I can look into this further?

Kind Regards

Beth
