"The care, compassion and friendship you provided will never be forgotten"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Elderly Medicine (12, 14, 18, 23, 29, 30, 32, 33,35 ,39 & 53)

(as a relative),

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the staff on Ward 14 for caring for my gran until she passed. The care, compassion and friendship you provided to not only my gran but my family especially my granda will never be forgotten.  We were heartbroken when she had to be admitted to hospital, but the love and compassion you showed my gran during her 10-week stay eased our minds and was a huge comfort to us all.

I saw first hand how hard you guys worked under exceptional circumstances and staff shortages and the care you provided never failed, even though you must have been under immense pressure.  You are all worth your weight in gold. x

Dear L_37

Please accept our condolences on the death of your gran. It is clear from your message how loved she was and this must be a very difficult time for the family.

We are however so pleased that the care she received has brought you, all the family, and especially your granda some comfort. It is a privilege to look after and get to know people at the end of their life and their loved ones, and I know all the team will be really heartened to hear your kind words. We will make sure that everyone working in the ward will get to see them.

With best wishes

Dear L_87,

Thank you so much for posting your feedback for the team.

I was sorry to read about your Gran and send my sympathies on behalf of all the team at what must be an upsetting time for you all.

I know that team will be touched that you took time to recognise their hard work delivered with a human, compassionate and supportive approach.

I will make sure that the team receive the feedback and know the impact that they have on families and friend of the people in their care.

Many thanks

Heather Richardson
