Anything else?
Staff in both A&E and ITU showed exceptional care and compassion when my elderly relative was admitted by ambulance and then transferred to ITU. The staff in A&E were a credit to their profession and kept us informed throughout. Likewise in ITU we were kept informed and given every opportunity to ask questions and discuss any needs and concerns and the care given was incredible really The respect and dignity given to my relative and to the family when he sadly died was exceptional The only negative was a receptionist in A&E who said she had called us four times when we asked to see our relative after waiting an hour. No way did this happen as we were waiting all the time and were alert for our names to be called. She had probably forgotten to call us
"compassion and care"
