"Brain haemorrhage - further surgery"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as the patient),

In late September 2021 I suffered a bleed on the brain. I received reactive surgery at the beginning of October.

After a slow but thankfully good recovery I was given a MRI. Unfortunately the results had shown that I needed further treatment. My initial date for surgery was in May 2022.

After attending 3 times and being cancelled I received my operation October 2022.

Even though it was frustrating I cannot praise the surgeons and support staff enough. 1st class care under extreme pressure.

Little things like telling you their name and them asking about your family, and life. At a extremely worrying time it helped put me at ease.

Dear Odwins tormentor,

Thank you so much for taking the time to get in touch. I am so pleased to hear that despite attending for treatment on 3 occasions which were subsequently cancelled, you have now received your treatment.

It is a great encouragement for the teams to be recognised for their care and professionalism. I am pleased to hear our teams put you at ease, and provided reassurance to you at this worrying time.

It will be a pleasure to share your feedback and kind words with them.

Kind regards,

Pamela Philp
