I wanted to thank my GP practice team for their support in the last few weeks while I have been awaiting and recovering from surgery. The nurse took the time to chase the right people and reassure me about my upcoming procedure - I am extremely grateful and know that this really shouldn't have been her job.
A few weeks later the doctor called me back within a couple of hours of my speaking with the receptionist about a post-surgery concern. He offered thoughtful and reassuring advice: Saying aloud "I'm just thinking about this" is hugely reassuring that someone is carefully considering the best options, and when you are on the phone instead of face to face those little extra phrases make all the difference. This level of service and care has been typical of nearly 20 years of my being a patient here.
I often hear horror stories of other people's experiences with their GP practice, and I begin to wonder if my practice is one of NHSGGC's best-kept secrets. I've never been let down or made to wait unduly - their service and healthcare is consistently excellent, and I'm very grateful to remain a patient on their books. I don't say it often enough, so many thanks to the whole team.
"I'm very grateful to remain a patient"
