About: Russells Hall Hospital

I was seen in the SDec clinic on 28th sep to be told I may have a clot on my lung, Ct scan done then I was told they needed a Vq scan because they couldn’t quite see everything, so put on blood thinners and still 7 days later waiting for a ventilation–perfusion scan,

This is unfair when treatment and answers are needed , staff are over worked and stressed

How long do I need to wait to get an answer on something so important to my health

Discussion of my care was discussed in the waiting room on one occasion then in the corridor on the next

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback about your recent experience of our hospital. We always aim to offer the highest standards of care and so we are very sorry that we fell short of those standards during your visits.

It is difficult to comment on your specific case without your details and reviewing your medical notes but we would welcome the opportunity to look into the concerns you have raised and hopefully resolve some of these issues for you. If you would like us to do this, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on free phone 0800 073 0510 or email dgft.patientexperience@nhs.net.

All the best and take care,

Patient Experience Team.
