"No help from resource centre"

About: Shawpark Resource Centre

(as a service user),

I submitted a negative review to them after months of receiving no help. They said that they get a lot of thank you cards for their services.

My GP referred to this centre as they can not review my medication or provide therapy. Due to Covid for the last 3 years I can't even get a review of  my medication. At this centre I have begged to have a referral to a  psychotherapist and receive psychology sessions as this has helped me before if I am suicidal. I asked for any help.

The team made a decision not to give me psychology sessions as it could make things worst for me. In regards to medication, I was referred back to my GP who can not do long term medication reviews. The centre has now discharged me. In which universe this is normal?

I never thought that trying to get help can make your condition even worse. This a Mental Health resource centre, but you can't find any information online what resources they have or any leaflets to hand out about their services. They don't appear to accept any of their mistakes or the reviews left by people - it says it all.

Dear Marius SnowFlake

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion. I am very sorry that you have been unable to access the psychotherapist or psychology sessions. As Care Opinion is anonymous we are unable to answer your questions in more detail.

Therefore, I would be grateful if you could contact Shawpark Resource Centre on 0141 451 2730 and ask to speak to the Nurse Team Leader or Service Manager to discuss your care.

Thank you

Nicole

Thank you for the same generic message that you send to everybody who made a review on careopinion.org.uk

Dear Marius SnowFlake

I apologise but as Care Opinion is anonymous I am unable to provide a more detailed response which is why I ask people to contact the Service directly. I appreciate that you may not wish to contact the Resource Centre, if this is the case, you can contact the Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS). This is an independent service which provides free and confidential advice to patients about NHS healthcare. The service is provided by the Citizens Advice Bureau. The help line number is 0800 917 2127 and this is the website: www.patientadvicescotland.org.uk

Kind Regards

Nicole

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate that.

Would I be able to request a contact email address of the Mental Health Resources Center.

I do not feel comfortable making a call and mail posts due to strikes can be delayed.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Marius SnowFlake

I am sorry but I don’t have a generic email address for the Resource Centre. If you are willing to you can email me at PatientExperience@ggc.scot.nhs.uk and I can share this with the staff. It would be helpful if you could include your name and date of birth.

Thank you

Nicole
