I was 41+1 when I went to DHH for an induction. It wasn't something I had planned as I wanted a water birth and wasn't sure if it could still be done when induced.
I started off with Joanne in the assessment unit and she was fantastic at explaining the whole process to me and letting me know the options within inductions so that I can could still have my water birth.
At 41+2 I came in with my husband after having the balloon induction. I was examined and went straight to the water birth room with Rachel as my midwife. I was able to have the drug free natural water birth I had wanted when I was so unsure I might not be able if being induced. I couldn't have asked for a better midwife to help deliver my baby girl than Rachel. She was everything and more and I couldn't be more thankful or grateful for her in bringing my baby girl into this world.
