"COVID and Flu vaccinations."

About: The New Seaham Medical Group

(as the patient),

Last year I was informed by the NHS that I was now eligible for a booster and to contact my GP to book an appointment. I phoned the GP to be told that they weren’t booking appointments for my category yet. I explained that I had received a message from the NHS telling me to book with my GP. Again they didn’t care and told me to go to my local supermarket if I wanted to get one but they would not book me an appointment at the GP. This left me feeling extremely distressed. I was therefore surprised to get another message this year telling me to contact my GP for my booster. When I rang them I have again been told I can’t make an appointment until October because they haven’t started their COVID clinics yet. There appears to be no coordination between between whoever sends messages from NHS and local GPS. What is going on, there has been millions spent on systems to make services joined up. This causes no end of stress. I still have not had a booster. My last vaccination was November 2021, I am insulin dependent type 2 diabetic.
