"Genuine care and compassion"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Acute Medical Unit

(as a relative),

As a family we would like to express our thanks to the staff of AMU (Bay 4)  for the excellent end of life care -  special mentions to Jo Jo, Lisa, Lorraine and to Jackie for their care and attention at such a difficult time.

Despite the obvious acuity and pace of the ward, the majority of the staff showed  care and attention that went above just the practicalities of nursing care and were quite honestly just amazing.

While all too often we hear the negative experience of care in the NHS, we felt that the genuine care and compassion shown by your team should be highlighted and acknowledged. Please pass on our thanks to the team within the ward. We are forever grateful.

Dear His76,

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for sharing this kind feedback, which I will share with the nursing team in AMU here at RIE. We will make sure that the staff you have mentioned by name will see this in particular.
