I had the absolute pleasure of giving birth to my beautiful baby girl in Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry.
From the very first appt with Doreen I was so reassured that this was going to be a positive journey and I came out with all my questions answered and felt I was the only pregnant woman she dealt with.
The MLC Unit were so helpful, at every Getting Ready for Baby appt Joanne and Natalie where so effecient and helpful and cheerful to have appts with that I looked forward to them and they really made my pregnancy experience so much more enjoyable.
Finally 10 days after due date I was taken into maternity ward to start my labour journey. Jacqui was so welcoming and explained to me the path with which next 48 hours might lead me, due to unforeseen circumstances and staff shortages the midwives were run off their feet so induction was delayed by 12 hours and they apologised profusely, which I didn't expect as it was no fault of their own.
Once at delivery suite, Olivia, Carolyn, Emma-Jo, Lizzy, Margaret and especially amazing Elaine were there to support my long labour, each member of staff is worth their weight in gold and go above and beyond their pay grade to help us mothers.
Back up at the maternity ward for care and guidance of how to deal with my new born as a first-time mum, Leah and Claire where excellent and I can't thank them enough.
There were so many others who helped along my journey from start to finish, which meant I had an amazing experience in Daisy Hill, and although it was a hard birth it was made easy by all these kind amazing women. Thank you
