"Covid infusion & thanks to all medical staff"

About: Eglinton Medical Practice Outpatients Department / Clinic 5 - Rheumatology, Renal, Vascular, Colorectal, Gastro Intestinal Royal Victoria Hospital / Immunology Day Centre (Ward 34) Western Health & Social Care Trust / Post Covid Syndrome Service

(as the patient),

I felt unwell on the Saturday and took a covid test as I am in the vulnerable category,  it was positive I contacted my crohns nurse on the Monday and she advised me to stop my crohns injections and that I’d need to get an infusion.

Within 24hours I was contacted by a doctor in Altnagelvin and he explained everything to me and told me I would get a call with the arrangements for the infusion . I got a call with in the hour and was given a time and location of where to go . I was seen by two nurses who where so lovely and made me feel at ease . Catherine and Vivienne explained everything to me and chatted to me as the infusion was doing it’s job . Overall I am extremely happy with the service I got and have had over the last few year’s whilst living with a long term health condition from my Doctors In Eglinton medical practice and the nurses and receptionist they do a wonderful job to my consultants in Altnagelvin , City Hospital and the immunology department in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
