"Lumbar puncture by a respectful and caring doctor"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as a service user),

I had a lumbar puncture recently in ward 53 at QEUH. Can I just say the staff were amazing.

The doctor who carried out the LP was so respectful, caring and really listened to my fears and concerns. I cried the whole way through and had some minimal pain and discomfort but definitely felt listened to and cared for. Cups of tea and a sandwich also definitely made the day brighter.

I cannot thank them enough and although in pain today, glad its all over and hopefully get some answers soon. Honestly the best admission I've had over the past few years and definitely take pride in their care and attention.

Nothing was too much trouble for them. Absolutely outstanding. Thank you to all staff members.
