I contracted Covid, and because I am on immune suppressing drugs, my GP passed my details on to see if I could receive the neutralising antibody infusion.
A doctor named Victoria called me yesterday, to see if I would like to go to the Ulster Hospital this morning for the infusion. She was very nice and explained why it would be recommended, so I said I would definitely like to have it.
I arrived at the hospital this morning and was met by two nurses, Jenny and Lisa. The doctor Victoria also came along to introduce herself.
The nurses were so friendly and attentive and explained everything. I just felt so at ease. There was another patient in and we were all talking and having a bit of fun, so the time passed quickly. Jenny went to make tea and coffee. When I told her I only drink decaf, she said she had decaf coffee. I couldn’t believe it. The first time I have been able to get decaf in a hospital! It was lovely and we also received a snack pack with water, crisps, yogurt, biscuits etc.
The only reason I wouldn’t want to go back there again is because it would mean I had Covid again!!!
