"Amazing care during my stay in Stock Ward"

I had Breast Reconstruction DIEP Flap in September 2022.

Mr Banwell was my consultant. Unfortunately for me I had a few complications after initial surgery so had to go to theatre a further 2 times. As you can imagine my husband and family were extremely worried, but Mr Banwell kept my husband updated throughout and the end result was great.

When I was finally taken to Stock Ward I was treated respectfully and had the most amazing care from all members of staff including the physiotherapist. 

I was able to leave hospital after a few days with continuing care at the end of a telephone and outpatient appointments. I hope this gives reassurance to anyone going forward.

Broomfield hospital staff are in my opinion true heroes and I can never thank them enough.
