"My wife's recent stay in East Surrey Hospital"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as other),

My wife's story really starts in April 2021 when she had her second Covid jab. Up to that point we were walking 3 miles a day and my wife was playing badminton weekly, but after that date, her health deteriorated.

She firstly suffered burning under the skin on her back, then she had red swellings which came to a white head this was diagnosed and a dry skin rash. She then had a pain in her right groin followed by her left leg swelling to the point that it wouldn't bend and she was told to rest it for a week.  Towards the end of May she developed pressure in her head then at the end of may she couldn't sleep day or night or drink or eat, she was diagnosed  as having had a breakdown and was admitted to hospital for the first time.

This year she had a relapse and was readmitted to hospital. After having tests, which she didn't have last year, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's, but the care in hospital is very bad because of a very hot ward and nylon pillows. Also the medication was late or wasn't given at all plus the nurses and any other staff didn't fully understand her condition which was very bad anxiety and they assumed it was the Parkinson's and just left her to suffer.

She was in hospital from July 22 to Sept 22, we have now had to move her to a private care home for a respite stay as she was making no progress at all in the hospital.
