"Ward 26 Ninewells Hospital, Dundee."

About: Ninewells Hospital / Plastic Surgery & Burns

(as the patient),

I have just been discharged from the above ward, having been a patient there for 6 days. Very stupidly, I knocked over a boiling hot cup of black coffee, at home, which spilt onto the top of my foot. The treatment I received was exemplary. I did not meet any member of staff who was not cheerful, and they all carried out their duties without fail. Nothing was too much trouble. My very great thanks to all the staff involved. Would take too long to mention names, but I did try to find out first names of Nursing staff and others. I was surprised at how many of the people looking after me were trainee nurses, some with a few weeks left before finally qualifying, and some with a few years. I also had a long conversation with a young man who is training to be a Doctor. At present they are volunteering and brought me a mug of coffee. Great to meet you Shogo, and I wish you all the best for your career. Again many thanks.

Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I am glad you had a positive care experience in ward 26 and that all staff went beyond their care of duty to support you through this journey. I will pass this on to all members of the team and to Shogo who is currently volunteering with us.
