"What is going on?"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as a relative),

My wife received a scan in January 2022.

This is now September, with an appointment being cancelled last month! She was due an appointment today.

In September she got a strange phone call by a consultant to ask as there was a "Storm" due in  September (This is Scotland, we always have bad weather)!!!

Perhaps it would be better to have a phone consultation!

After the said "Consultation" they decided to call her to another scan in January next year!

That's a year, and her not actually seeing anyone!

Not being happy with this, my wife phoned to ask that the original appointment should still stand in September 2022. I was told that was agreed and that this would be the case.

We are now just back from the hospital, only to be told that she has been told that she has to wait until January 2023  for another scan  and that consultant  was undertaking an operation at that time!

What is going on? A year to see someone.

It's a mess.
