"Outstanding service"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Stirling Care Village / Minor injuries unit

(as a service user),

Daughter sustained laceration above her eye at school.

Called 111 as thought it might need stitches. Spoke to call handler Derek then a nurse, sorry I didn't catch her name.

Referred to local hospital. Spoken to by Kat and given appointment at minor injuries in Stirling at later that day.

Assessed for head injury and glued back together by Vikki!

Outstanding service from NHS Forth Valley once again.

Dear asteropess75

I'm sorry to learn of your daughter's injury. I hope she's doing much better.

How kind of you to thank the people who provided care to your daughter. I see my colleagues within NHS Forth Valley have already responded and will share your complimentary feedback with their staff, which is great to see.

Thanks for mentioning Derek who managed your call to NHS 24. It would be good to share your story with Derek, and indeed the Nurse too. It's always good to share stories such as yours with staff as we don't often get to hear what happens to patients following a referral to another service by NHS 24.

If you care to provide any further detail on your call to 111, it would be great to hear from you. You can contact me on 07814 299944 or at Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk.

Thanks again and best wishes to you both.

Shona
