"Excellent Emergency Care"

About: St John's Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

Having attended GP Out of Hours at SJH in agony, the GP was quick to assess that I really needed to be in the Emergency Department and moved me as quickly as I could see possible. Once there I was looked after by Dr Gillies and Staff Nurse Suzanne - they were first class! Clearly, other staff were involved too but Suzanne and Fiona were my main sources of contact, reassurance and care provision.

They were timely with treatments (blood results and pain relief). Even when I couldn't be transferred to RIE in a timely way via ambulance, they kept me informed, reassured and comfortable. Thank you both for such excellent treatment!

Thank you for this lovely feedback. I'll pass it on to the people you mention in particular, and the rest of the team. I'm sorry it took a while for the ambulance but pleased you felt informed and reassured. The system is under quite some pressure at the moment so its even more important for us to hear the good feedback. Much appreciated.

I hope you are recovering after your time at the Royal.
