I experienced a seizure at home and my husband called 999. Connor and Walter from the ambulance service attended and were very caring. they suggested that a trip to hospital was in order as I am pregnant and off we went. There was a long queue to get into A&E and I became anxious as baby hadn't moved in a while. Connor got some food and drink to see if we could get baby moving and called maternity to see if we could get direct access instead of waiting for hours in the A&E queue.
Maternity were happy to see me where we were so well looked after by midwife Doreen, Auxiliary Jade and Doctor Aspen. I was fed, watered, tests done and results fully explained with a plan of action. The amazing, holistic care continued the next morning with midwife Karen and Student Midwife Mhairi who clearly explained everything that she was going to do. What a lovely manner she has!
I feel so well cared for, informed and involved in my care plan. Thank you so much
"Superb, patient centred care"
