"My stay in the hospital"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Physiotherapy

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Everyone has been very friendly helpful and caring. Like nothing is too much bother. I very much appreciate the help from all staff, cleaners, porters, reception, all nursing, consultants, OT and physio. I'm very grateful.

I know it is a national problem but the long wait at A&E (almost 4 hours) allowed a lot of swelling to take place, so more pain for me and a harder job for surgeon.

In Ward 16 there is a lot of noise at all hours with lorry deliveries. I also feel like there isn't enough fresh air in the rooms.

Dear Anonymous22

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us about your recent experience at University Hospital Wishaw, A&E and W16-18.

I am sorry you had a long wait in A&E, and I note your comments in regards to the ward.

I am pleased you experienced a friendly team of staff during your stay and it will be a pleasure to share your kind words for the staff with the team.

I wish you well in your recovery.

Kind Regards

Karen
