My mum had a fall and injured her head and had to have a CT scan. She was seen by Triage Nurse Anita who cared for my mum and spoke to her with empathy and compassion, taking time to reassure her she would have her bloods done and request her CT scan as soon as she could. This all made my mum feel safe.
When mum got into CT Scan the radiologist named Lynne came out and spoke to mum, took her into scan room and explained in detail about the scan machine again making mum feel relaxed and giving her peace of mind that this would let us know if anything sinister caused mum to have her fall, thankfully the news was good.
Back into the treatment room and greeted by a other caring and compassionate doctor by the name of Eleanor who checked mum over and explained what treatment she was going to give to her wounds again making mum feel relaxed.
Thanks to Kay the Health Care Assistant for your kind words, and to the care and compassion from the registrar (sorry I didn't get your name).
This sums up if you are happy caring for patients and doing a job you love it most definitely shows.
My mum just loved you all and cannot thank you enough.
God bless you all x
