"Prostate biopsy after MRI"

My partner received phone call to attend appointment on 7th floor  Altnagevin as biopsy was booked - no explanation given. He had an MRI few weeks previously.

Arrived anyhow 20 mins earlier to allow for parking nobody was on the 7th floor and took a seat outside DESU then at our appointment time (on the dot) a nurse came out introduced  herself Marie or Maria apologies if I got name wrong as she was wearing a mask and advised me to come back 50 mins time.

She was very friendly and then took him away. When I collected my partner he was less anxious  & more reassured as the doctor had explained why the biopsy was being done because you think the worst case scenario.

So waiting game now. I just wanted to thank the nurse Marie or Maria and the sorry if I got name wrong (because of the  mask) you and the doctor made a difficult & stressful  time bit more bearable and hopefully not have to see you again 👀

The waiting room was clean and tidy with loads of info leaflets and the toilets were spotless
