"Maternity care"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I was one of the lucky people who got to be part of the oasis continuity programme whilst pregnant with my son. I was given a team of midwives who were based on the Oasis birthing centre, being lucky enough to see the same midwife for 90% of my visits. Although my labour ended up being in theatre I cannot thank the oasis continuity team enough for their continued support throughout my pregnancy and after birth too. As for the midwives and carers on the labour and maternity units I am taken aback by how incredible they are. Every bell press for pain relief, help to the bathroom, erratic anxious behaviour I displayed with my newborn was never a big ask for the teams that were shift working over the five day period I was there. I am blown away at how amazing these women are from their care to their knowledge nothing is too much. I will never find the words to thank them enough for making me feel at ease with any requests I had no matter how dramatic or silly it was. For anyone who plans to have their baby at the oasis or labour ward at the pruh will be incredibly blessed. There is no greater care than from those.
