"Care received from my local surgery"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as the patient),

I have had and continue to have outstanding care from Laurencekirk Medical Centre.  At the beginning of 2022 I phoned to discuss a health problem I was having and was attended to immediately by Dr Houghton. She very quickly put me forward for investigation  and it turned out to be cancer.

Very soon after that I phoned with a sore leg, and again was seen immediately by Dr Clarke, who phoned the hospital as she suspected a blood clot. Both these doctors listened carefully to my concerns and acted immediately with kindness.

As I’ve gone through my cancer treatment Dr Houghton has phoned to checked up and review my condition, making herself easily available. Every time I phone, the receptionists have been kind, caring and very helpful.

I can’t say enough positive things about the care I’ve received from all of the staff at Laurencekirk Medical Centre.

Dear statussg34,

Thank you so much for sharing the story of your outstanding care from Laurencekirk Medical Practice. It has really made my day reading it and I'm sure it will bring a smile to the faces of the team at Laurencekirk too. The GP Practice teams aren't currently registered to respond to feedback received via Care Opinion but I will forward this on too the Practice manager, Dr Houghton and Mr Clarke today.

I hope all is going well with the cancer treatment.
