I have had 20 different radiotherapy treatment sessions for prostate cancer. It began on the 19th July 2006 and finished on the 15th August 2006.
The whole process that is a fairly serious and radical treatment was made easier by all the staff. All the ladies in reception were extremely helpful.
The therapy radiographers were absolutely marvellous, they made everything so much easier to go through.
I was so impressed and it seems strange to say but i felt like I missed going there everyday, the hospitality and caring nature of the staff was what I missed. They turned a traumatic experience into a pleasant one.
One suggestion I have is when I went for check-ups and observation they asked me to have a full bladder, but could there be a way of telling you how long you are going to be waiting for...as i was caught short needing the toilet many a time and I'm sure others did too.
