"Committed hospital staff and professionally skilful surgery"

I would be most grateful if the following comments could be shared with the team and management. I felt informed throughout the pre-and post surgery and I am eternally grateful for their devoted work.

Having returned from the Day Surgery Unit at the NHS Barnstaple Royal University Healthcare team for an Inguinal Hernia repair procedure, (first surgery in my whole life). My Appointment within an extremely busy Hospital still successfully struggling with Covid restrictions/protocols, full beds, massive staffing pressures and apparent patient “catch up”. I have nothing but complete admiration, respect, appreciation and awe for the empathetic care, committed hospital staff and professionally skilful surgery throughout my overall magnificent hospital experience which leaves me proud of our extraordinary and occasionally, chastised NHS.

My Apologies for not articulating all individual names responsible for my appointment, (exempt the Surgeons), all of whom made the extraordinary experience from my arrival at the main desk, through the thorough attentive pre surgery admin/preparations Nurse’s, to the cheerful knowledgeable anaesthetist, the exceptionally skilful surgeons: Mr Pawlak and Mr Wei and their brilliant accomplished theatre team, to the courteous respectful recovery team and back to the start of my journey with the indomitable hardworking Nurse Caroline and Nurse Debbie for my final discharge procedures, and finally any member of staff in the background workforce whom I have unintentionally left out but who made my systematic appointment more bearable.
