"Five Star Experience in A&E"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My daughter attended A&E after a road traffic accident. The waiting area was at full capacity and very busy. Each person involved in her care - including clerical, porter staff, doctors and nurses - behaved professionally, explaining each step of her care in a clear understandable manner.

She needed a CT scan, which was carried out quickly and the results obtained in a reasonable time frame. Although the staff were working under huge amounts of pressure, the care she received was excellent.I witnessed their care and compassion, especially to elderly patients in the dept.

Dr Lees was exemplary in every aspect, and her kindness was appreciated.
