My Mum is in her eighties and was referred to the TIA Hot Clinic at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
The consultant, Dr Cvoro was friendly, informative, caring and approachable. She kept my Mum informed all along the diagnosis even though Mum found it difficult as she is hard of hearing and was a little confused due to her having suffered a stroke. Mum was so reassured by her manner and appreciated all that was being done for her.
The nurses on duty, Debbie and Louise were caring, considerate, gentle, and patient. I can not commend them highly enough for their compassion and care.
Louise was with us for most of the appointment and her friendly, helpful manner went beyond simple reassurance during such a difficult series of tests for someone in their eighties. (ECG, CAT scan, bloods, etc.) She was a star and clearly enjoys her job and the learning experience it offers!
The whole experience of Ward 8 RADA TIA Hot Clinic was so positive it is difficult to see what they could improve on, they are clearly getting things right on this ward.
The toilets were spotless and easy to manoeuvre in.
If I had to find a negative the ward treatment room was a little too hot and airless but I can accept that on a day in a mid-August summer.
