(as a service user),

I'm in detox at the moment. I have done some things I should not have. I have drank some liquor, far too much and now I am paying the price. Although the staff here are wonderful and helpful they are also friendly but strict for our own sake. The food is good and with choice. We have lectures twice a day but these are more like group discussions than lectures, when we all have our say on whatever subject is being discussed.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped with plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. There is a nice garden at the rear of the property with seating areas.

While I have been at the service I have done things that I had long since stopped for example eating breakfast. I hope I can keep it up.

The team endeavour to always ensure your stay here is as comfortable as it can be, so it's really nice to hear you had such a positive experience regarding your room, the food choices and the group activities.

We feel the group meetings are a great way to structure the day alongside providing support, guidance and knowledge around specific areas during your detox. Staff enjoy delivering these on a daily basis and the feedback we receive is always positive so thank you for adding to this.

We're really thankful for your feedback and are so very pleased you had such a positive experience within the DCDS unit.
