I had gallstones and pancreatitis, so had to have my gallbladder removed.
I am in my 70s and arrived on the morning of my surgery feeling a bit nervous and apprehensive. The waiting area was very busy, but fortunately I did not have long to wait.
The nurses were very friendly, helpful and very quickly put me at ease. Everything was explained to me before I was taken to theatre. The surgeon and theatre staff were lovely and very caring. They kept reassuring me that everything would be fine.
Back on the ward the nurses took great care of me, making sure I was comfortable and asking if I needed any painkillers.
I would like to say thank you for the care and attention I received before, during and after my surgery, from everyone involved.
"Thank you for all the care and attention"
