For the last 18 weeks, I've been attending Haematology for weekly venesections. Not gonna' lie, it's a pretty big needle and it would never rank on my list of 'favourite things to do'!! However, without exception, whether PRI regular hard working staff, or someone bussed in to assist when numbers are short, the girls are all phenomenal. Cheery, attentive, dedicated, skilled, caring. Nothing is ever too much. Feels like a family in there and that is a genuinely beautiful thing. When the NHS seems to be under attack from all and sundry, it's important we report good news stories and just how hard the staff work, in the face of mounting difficulties. Team Haema...you guys are amazing...and we love you for it...
