"In a lot of pain"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

A&E department at Causeway Hospital - Northern Health and social care trust.

Took myself to A&E as advised by out of hours Dr. Had bloods & IV painkiller. The doctor in charge of my care had a poor attitude and lacked compassion & professionalism.

5 Hour wait to be spoken to poorly, drip taken out of my arm, spillage of blood, they asked me if I was scared of blood in a sarcastic way, to which I told them no, but I didn't want blood on my clothes.

When I said to a nurse on duty about this experience, they cut me off and replied saying that they were a good doctor though. Not the kind of experience anyone should have when in a lot of pain and discomfort.
