I was in extreme pain due to a flare up of my condition and was unable to get treatment at my GP as it was too early to have, so I contacted ward 49 for advice. I spoke to the clarkess who was so helpful! She took my details after listening to me upset on the phone and arranged for someone to call me back. I was then contacted by an amazing nurse Jill who I can only imagine, was extremely busy within the ward, but took the time to speak to me over the phone, even when I was crying and distressed from pain and vomiting. Between Jill and a Doctor (sorry I cannot remember name) on the ward who also contacted me, they were able to put a plan in place for me to have my treatment a few days later to help with my symptoms. Jill is an excellent nurse, she is so compassionate and caring! When I got to the ward I could see how busy it was, yet Jill still took her time to ask and listen to what was going on with my current health and reassured me to return if things did not improve. I cannot thank Jill enough, and the clarkess and doctor who all helped me when I was feeling miserable in so much pain and vomiting! Thanks again so much! I would feel in very safe hands if I ever need to return to ward 49!
"Excellent care on the ward"
