"The level of care is good"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Male Surgical

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Male surgical is fine, just hard since every staff member is in PPE so hard to know who is who. The level of care is good considering I have covid. I feel bad for the staff since they do not have covid and are taking care of us. The ward is fine but I am breathless so the toilets are bit far for me, but that cannot be changed as I do not want assistance. The food is okay I am not getting the full taste of it all but the portion sizes are very big.

The staff are very good and considerate. They take their time with you but I still feel so bad for them. The staff must really love their jobs since they are still here and they have to wear their big masks.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am delighted that you have found the staff good, considerate and take their time with you. I will share your lovely comments with the team here on Male Surgical. The Red PPE is required by the Trust but we do appreciate it can be difficult for patients and staff. Your feedback is greatly valued.

I hope your are feeling better.

Regards

Judith
