"Positive pregnancy and birth"

About: Lorn & Islands Hospital / Maternity care Maternity care (Ward 31) / Labour suite maternity

(as a service user),

I have enjoyed such a positive experience during both pregnancy and then the birth of my second baby.

The Oban midwifery team are absolutely brilliant. The continuity of care that I received during pregnancy from my named midwife (Ruth) was excellent. All other staff members who I interacted with during appointments at the Oban maternity unit and home visits were equally lovely, helpful, supportive and friendly.

My baby was born by elective C-section at the RAH and the care I received during my brief stay there was also exceptional. I always felt that I was in very safe hands.
