"Excellent service in A & E"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son attended RACH A&E last night after attempting at wrestling move with a friend.  Unfortunately this ended up with him passing out and banging his head in the process. (He got in such a lot of trouble when he got home)

Anyhow, this is just to thank the exceptional staff that cared for him, they were friendly, knowledgeable and non-judgemental, even though this accident was preventable and brought on by his own stupidity. (enough said)

I didn’t catch names, but thanks to all the staff that were on last night, but a special thanks has to go to the Student Nurse, her manner and caring nature was evident in abundance. She didn’t just look after my son, but us as a family. She will be a credit to the profession when she qualifies this year.

Thanks again from a very grateful mum and her now very sheepish son.

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback - it is always so heartening to hear about good family centred care. I hope your son makes a good recovery from his wrestling match! I will make sure this feedback is passed onto our staff and in particular the student nurse that you were so positive about.
