"A&E minor injuries"

In late July after a bad fall on holiday I had the pleasure of attending minor injuries at university hospital Wishaw. Firstly I am a nurse myself and perhaps not the best patient but I knew I needed experienced help.

I attended the hospital triaged relatively quickly but had no pain relief for over 20 hrs,as I had been travelling home. I was seen by Staff nurse Kirkwood who immediately sorted my pain out and made me feel relaxed as she talked me through what would happen.

After my diagnosis and treatment she talked me through what would happen next and my follow up care.  Nurse Kirkwood you are a true professional with gorgeous attributes not only was the code in practice here  in several ways by practice effectively promoting professionalism and trust transparency was evident in building a good relationship not only with me but my cousin who had brought me to hospital. But mostly Nurse Kirkwood for me as one professional to another incorporated the 6 C,s in her practice which showed great transparency
