"Extortionate Car Parking Charge Increase "

Yes I know that prices are going up everywhere….. But increasing parking to £3.00 for just one hour, £4.00 for 2 hours, etc. is a huge increase from £2.90 for up to 4 hours. It is totally unfair. It is difficult to park car, walk to appointment, wait to see someone and get back to car in under an hour. This is a tax on the sick and will also put people off visiting patients because there is no way you can visit in under an hour. If they’d put prices up to say £3.00 for up to 2 hours that would be reasonable. I know there are concessions if you have to attend frequently but I have to go 3 times a month for various things and because it’s impossible to get everything completed in under an hour it’s at least £4.00 a time. It would be better to get the guided bus from St Ives to Addenbrookes as saving on fuel and car parking costs as there is a regular service so If I need any future referrals for treatment I’ll be asking my doctor to send me to Addenbrookes as the bus service is better to there.
