My Fathers care

"My Fathers care"

(as a relative),

My father has been in Station 4 since the beginning of March. Through one illness to another, no social care available to get him home, then infections setting in then now at the moment he is very unwell. Every time I encounter a member of staff I always say thanks. This word does not say how I actually feel about the whole team. Each and every one of them over the weeks have kept me updated and treated Dad with the utmost respect and dignity. They have supported me and my Mum.

It most probably will be a rocky road ahead but please take it from the bottom of my heart I appreciate absolutely everything you do and are doing for my Dad. 

May you all be given the staffing levels you need to run a safe ward and wages you deserve as committed individuals.

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback. I am the Clinical Nurse Manager for this area and I am very proud to be so. As you have noted the nurses do work extremely hard and sadly often more than we would like, short staffed. It touches my heart to hear that despite all this they are showing the patients and families the truely compassionate care you all deserve whilst being in our hospital ward.

I am sorry to hear your dad is having such an extended period of illness and hope as you say the road does not become too rocky for him and your family.

Please once again accept my deepest gratitude for this feedback and be resassured the staff will be told about your kind words.
