"Kind helpful and caring midwives"

About: Maternity / Emergency Obstetric Unit Maternity / Home from Home

(as the patient),

My son was born in June 2022 @ the Ulster hospital in the home from home unit at 5:07am.

I went into labour and arrived at the EOD to be examined and sent up to home from home. Where I was met by the nicest midwife (who I really wish I could remember her name).

She made me feel at ease, showed me positions to get into, helped me through my pain and made me feel safe. Towards the end when my son was about to be born she was accompanied by a student midwife (English) again she was absolutely amazing.

They do not get the credit they deserve absolutely incredible humans!!!

Also I’d like to mention every single community midwife and student midwife that visited my home were kind helpful and caring!

Hi sambabk39

Thank you for sharing your experience of this special time.

Great to hear how the Trust's hospital and community maternity services has worked well for you.

Your positive feedback has been shared to both teams and is greatly appreciated.

Best wishes to you and your son
