Having had a TURPS prostate procedure recently I would like to give my feedback.

From my first consultation with Mr Hendry and his team with contact with Jackie medical secretary I was kept in the picture. Due to delays as a result of Covid I was looked after by the local district nurse team from Eastwood Health Centre for around a year.

After a long wait I was glad to get the procedure booked in at Gartnavel and underway.

From reception to discharge I felt really supported by a great team of highly competent professionals.

The theatre team led by Mr Zriek and Mr Logan did everything they could to reassure me and were clearly experts in their fields.

The recovery team was great and ensured my first steps in recovery went well.

Ward 4 A staff medical and support staff were so caring and kind dealing with each stage with compassion and consideration.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the General Surgery Department of the Gartnavel General Hospital.

I was sorry to hear you had such a long wait for an appointment for your procedure unfortunately this couldn't be helped due to Covid 19 pressures over the last year but I can imagine the anxiety this must have caused so I can only apologise for this.

I'm glad you were happy with the care and attention you received when you attended the hospital for your procedure and was particularly impressed with the professionalism and care provided by Mr Zriek and Mr Logan.

I will be sure to pass on your thanks to Mr Zriek, Mr Logan and the team in Ward 4A who I'm sure will be delighted to hear of your progress.
