"A threat to public health"

About: Burney Street Pms

Burney St Practice has twice this year failed to renew my prescriptions on time. For a sum total of one month without meds that left me with severe and dangerous symptoms. Despite having tried to resolve this, they simply blamed it on a 'computer error.' Yet, despite having a 'computer' that makes 'errors' they have done nothing to resolve this dangerous problem.

It is part of an long standing problem that Burney St has with failing to accurately issue prescriptions. Several times per year they will simply leave an item or two off, or alter an item. They only allow you 7 days in advance to make a request, but when they make a mistake they will not let you speak to anyone to resolve it for more than a week after your run out, in my experience.

When you do speak to someone at the practice about a problem like this, they all have a way of playing the part of a helpless individual trapped in a network of laws and policies they are powerless to alter. Conveniently, this also leaves them completely unaccoutable and immune from the consequences of their dangerous methods.

They have been like this for over a decade and show no signs of changing no matter what approach I take. I am suffering medical fallout because of their deep rooted organizational problems.

It is nearly impossible to book a GP appointment. They will hotly insist that they do take appointments, but you have to run the guantlet of a technically complex and difficult online quiz to go into a queue to be considered for an appointment. During this, you are asked humiliating questions such as whether you are an alcohol or gambling addict - no matter that you answered the same questions the same way many times before. They would have you believe that this is a rational triage process when it is plainly a deliberate technical and personal barrier to access to their services.

I feel very sorry for those less able than myself to advocate for themselves. I empathise with those with English as a second language, old age or cognitive difficulties struggling with this callous organisation.

I have sometimes considered moving away from Greenwich just to get access to humane medical care. For now, I just use the A&E or Urgent Care at hospital for my needs. A telling-off from A&E is nothing compared to the health risks and humiliation involved in dealing with Burney St.

To the staff of Burney St who are reading this - this is an honest and sincere description of how you treat people based on my experience and that of others I have spoken to over a long time. If you manage to perceive yourself as the victim after reading this - congratulations! You are a master gaslighter. Nobody deserves abuse, but you continuously provoke the public with your maltreatment, but never wonder why it boils over?

I realise many people have an axe to grind and it is hard to trust online reviews. To the public, I can only say that the negative reviews of Burney St/Wallace are real, legitimate and justified. Shame!
