"Troubled"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Went to A&E with my daughter via ambulance, on Sunday evening with extensive bleeding. She was left on a wheelchair in the main reception without any offer of sanitary wear for hours. She was eventually put on a trolley as she started to deteriorate and then given a side room for some privacy. She was then moved to a main corridor that was in constant use from the public and staff. She was left there without being cleaned or offered any sanitary wear. I eventually managed after being abrupt and persistent with staff, to get her a shower. She remained on that very busy corridor for 9hrs even though they wanted to admit her. She was exhausted, extremely upset and crying about the whole experience and lack of care. We came away from the hospital without any conclusion and given a prescription to stop the bleeding. We have been left feeling totally unassured, disturbed and distressed about a service that is not fit for purpose,
