"Lincoln Gynaecology Clinic"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had to have a gellhorn pessary fitted in Feb 22 and was told that I would need to return in three months, this was also put onto my letter that the consultant sent to my Dr.

After three months I had not received an appointment and so contacted the clinic to be told the waiting list was long and staffing levels low.

By June I was in considerable pain but again told that the waiting list was long.

I finally received an appointment 3 mo the later than I should have done. By this time the gellhorn was impacted and required removal by considerable force, which tore the surrounding tissue.

I was in a lot of pain and lost quite a bit of blood but had to walk 10 minutes to pick up a prescription and now am unable to have support in the form of a pessary for at least 8 weeks - which affects my mobility

The staff that treated me were very kind but the system failed
