"Royal hospital for children Glasgow parking"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow)

(as a service user),

Drove up from Ayrshire this morning to attend A and E with my daughter as that's where we have to go when anything happens related to why my daughter attends hospital in Glasgow rather than Ayrshire.

No parking available at all near A and E so went round to the multi story again no parking to be had. By this point my daughter was getting distressed and we needed to get in to A and E. I parked beside a bay as I had to get her into A and E. Of course I came out of A and E to a £40 fine. This is shocking when there's not enough spaces and people are trying to get children to A and E.

Dear Kf11

I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you have had with finding a car parking space at the Royal Hospital for Children and for the additional stress and worry this has caused. As Care Opinion, is anonymous, can you please get in touch with your personal details? If you can email patientexperience@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

If you have any difficulty accessing a bay in the future please speak to a Car Parking Attendant (identifiable in high visibility jackets) and they will find a bay or make an individual arrangement for you.

Thank you

Nicole
