I can honestly say that I couldn't find fault with the experience I had from the District nurses at a time when I was at a very low ebb from major surgery. They were first of all professional but at the same time, compassionate and friendly and made you feel you were in safe hands. They also went out of their way to find me all the dressings I needed, even delivering them after hours.

All in all I couldn't find anything but their dedication to their profession. Bernadette, Laura, Claire, Rosie and Hollie are names that come to mind but they were all good. As far as I'm concerned I couldn't say anything that would improve the service they provided.

My name is Marion Orr and I'm the District Nursing Coach within the Community Care Division in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.

Thank-you for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback in relation to the care you received following major surgery. It is so important that you felt safe when the nurses were calling with you and I hope that this has helped in your overall recovery.

District Nursing place an emphasis on providing a high standard of care in a patient's home setting and do welcome anything that they could do differently. Equally it is very appreciative to read that you couldn't find any fault with your experience.

I will ensure your motivating feedback is passed on to the District Nurse (Sister) and District Nursing team of Ballymena West. I know many of the names you mention and they will be delighted with such feedback.

Your comment will also be read by senior managers in the Trust and the DOH thus endorsing District Nursing on the wider platform.
