What I liked:
That I left the hospital with my baby and we were both alive.
What could be improved? Husbands/ partners should be allowed to stay over night when their girlfriend/ wife is in any stage of labour. It's an incredibly difficult time and any form of support is invaluable.
I was stuck on the maternity ward for 5 days after the birth of my son and I nearly starved. I'm a size 10-12, not prone to over-eating 29 year-old. After recovering from giving birth I was grateful for the tea and toast, but I was wondering if the hospital is trying to cut costs on food? Bigger portion sizes please.
Even though I specifically repeated I wanted an epidural the Midwives delayed it until it was too late to give me one. So no, I don't think that I was helped with pain relief. I was wondering if WST is hoping to save money on pain relief.
