"Kindness & Care"

About: York Hospital

Having spent another week being treated with kindness and great care on the Respiratory Ward. It's such a shame the little things are overlooked. Please please please why can't we have a cup of tea when we ask for one? One day we had 2 one 8am and one at 9pm. Yes I understand that the HCA's are very very busy but when I asked for one I was told Oh the trolley will be around soon. And yes I know it's not a hotel etc, but is a cuppa tea really to much to ask for? As I say I really have been shown kindness, love and care, please don't spoil it.

It is very heartening to hear that you feel you have been shown kindness, love and care from the staff. I am sorry to hear that you were less satisfied with the availability of refreshments.

Unfortunately, as Care Opinion is anonymous I can't raise this with the Trust on your behalf, but if you are interested in having this looked at further please do contact our PALS service (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) on 01904 726262 or you can email pals@york.nhs.uk and they will assist your further.
